A strong alliance of industry CEOs to oversight strategy development and program management of those actions that are the responsibility of Industry in the Environment Industry Action Agenda (EIAA). Current group membership is outlined on the PEOPLE page. The EIAA is a joint initiative of the Environment Management Industry and the Commonwealth Government, launched in September 2001, with the vision: "to add value to all Australian business by enabling competitive environmental outcomes and in the process build an environment industry with annual sales exceeding $40 billion by 2011". FREE EXPORT WORKSHOP FOR THE ENVIRONMENT SECTOR
The NSW Department of State and Regional Development is delighted to invite you to a FREE 1/2 day workshop on EXPORTING ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGIES. The presenter is Professor Paul Patterson, Head of Marketing at University of NSW and an expert on exporting services and technologies. The workshop is practical and interactive and industry specific.

The NSW Minister for Water Utilities and Small Business, the Hon David Campbell, MP and the Barton Group Export Task Force are pleased to INVITE businesses in the environment industry to a seminar on exporting environmental services and technologies.

The seminar is held on THURSDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER 2006 (8.30am – 1pm) in Sydney Room at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, 201 Sussex Street, Sydney.

Speakers include: John Meyers, Managing Director SEPA Waste Water Treatment P/L, Mark McNamara, CEO Hydrodec Group P/L; Roger Olds, Chairman Barton Group Export Task Force and Managing Director Coffey International Ltd, Peter Castellas, Clean Technology and representatives of industry associations. Video presentations will be made by Australia’s Senior Trade Commissioners from China, Thailand, Vietnam and India.

THE AUSTRALIAN WATER INDUSTRY ROADMAP PROJECT
The AWIR Project has provided a sustainable industry response to competing and changing demands, particularly delivery, security, trading, supply and treatment issues, for the Australian water industry. The final Roadmap has been able to demonstrate, through best practice case examples, strategic directions for the different sectors of the water industry,including rural and urban sectors. The final Roadmap was launched on 15 June 2005 at Parliament House Canberra by the Hon Greg Hunt MP, member for Flinders, on behalf of the Hon Ian Macfarlane MP, Minister for Industry, Tourism and Resources. The Roadmap contains a foreword by the Prime Minister, John Howard. The Roadmap can be downloaded as a PDF under the menu at left. The roadmap is being disseminated at a number of conferences around Australia, as per the dissemination schedule.

THE COMPOST SUPPLY CHAIN ROADMAP PROJECT
This roadmap project is an initiative of the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA), Compost Australia and the Barton Group. It is funded in part by the Federal Government through AusIndustry, and various State Government Agencies including the Department of Environment and Conservation (NSW), Queensland Environmental Protection Agency, EcoRecycle Victoria, Zero Waste SA, ACT NoWaste and the WA Waste Management Board.
